SickKids Foundation, Air Canada and the Air Canada Foundation have been closely monitoring the developments related to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, in collaboration with our colleagues and infectious disease experts at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids).
We are taking proactive and preventative measures to help protect our patients, health care providers and the community at large. SickKids Foundation in partnership with Air Canada and the Air Canada Foundation have made the difficult decision to postpone the upcoming gala event that was scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Evergreen Brick Works until later this fall. The exact date will be communicated as soon as it is confirmed.
We believe postponing this event is the right thing to do for everyone's health and safety, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility. We continue to share a vision with the Air Canada Foundation and our supporters – to promote the health and well-being of children and youth and help build a better future for them around the world. To do this, we still need you, our Wanderluxe community, to rally behind and support us.
We will be communicating details of the rescheduled date and any pertinent information as it becomes available.
Last year’s Air Canada presents Wanderluxe in collaboration with TD Bank Group was an overwhelming success. The sold-out evening saw a who’s who of Toronto’s fashionable and philanthropic community come together in a luxuriously transformed event space. It was a sophisticated night of fun, fine food from award-winning Chef Hawksworth, and of course, lots of charitable giving.
The extravagant travel packages on offer at last year’s event unleashed a fury of generous bids, raising Wanderluxe’s cumulative total of funds raised to over $4.2 million.
This year’s Wanderluxe is poised for greatness. With culinary creations from world-renowned chef David Hawksworth, exceptional entertainment, and fine dining supper club lounges, it is a night that promises to offer a world of possibilities.
David, Herbie Fund Patient
SickKids has the doctors; Air Canada has the planes. At Wanderluxe, the complementary missions of the Air Canada Foundation and the Herbie Fund at SickKids meld to support the health and wellness of children in Canada and abroad.
The Air Canada Foundation extends reach: enabling kids with challenges to reach their full potential, and enabling kids with complex medical issues to reach the right care.
The Herbie Fund extends SickKids' fight to make every kid a healthy kid: bringing children from around the world to the hospital for life-changing surgeries.
The patrons of Wanderluxe deliver the funds to make it happen. It's philanthropy in synchronicity.

Thanks to our generous sponsors for helping us soar.
Without their support, Wanderluxe would not be possible. We send a heartfelt thank you to our committee for the precious gift of their time and energy.
